Remember the great PotSW T-Shirt Project?
Boy, I do. After talking about this for years, I thought it would be a simple matter to put together some T-Shirts for PotSW list members to wear proudly to shows. Of course, at the time (circa 1994), it turned out to be more than I could handle, and while I didn't take anyone's money, I think several people were quite disappointed. But the fact is, I was running (or being run over by) a business at the time, and really couldn't handle the extra work to figure out how to do this. So great designs were done, we held voting, and then the winner just sat there, left to gather virtual dust in obscurity (which was a shame).Fast forward to the present.
It's time to get it done, and I've made arrangements to do just that. You will SOON be able to order the winning PotSW T-Shirt design (which I thought we might use for both the nostalgia and that it's a good design) for a measly $13.99 (+ shipping, which is like $4 or something).
Not only that, but I'll be adding sweatshirts, mouse pads, maybe even coffee mugs (that is, if anyone wants them).
The big remaining stuff to clear up is (1) whether we want to have a new design round, or just go with the winner from before, and (2) can someone do an updated back, that is at once more readable (the swirly background makes it hard to read on a moving shirt) and more accurate (it should just say www.potsw.org on it now)? I've put these questions to the PotSW List, but I'm just recapping here for your benefit.
Almost time to order, folks! Technically, you could order something NOW, if you wanted, though the design still has the wrong address on the back of the shirt. But it doesn't hurt me if you want one for old time's sake, and they'll ship you one out today if you want it. And the mousepad looks kind of cool already. :)
The PotSW store (yes, I know it's a cheesy name, and no, I'm not trying to make this a commercial venture at all; all these are sold at cost).
The short version of the plan is this:
