Kansas Web Links

Back to the PotSW Home Page

Don't miss the official Kansas web site, http://www.kansasband.com". Lots of info that you won't find elsewhere, including videos, tour dates, and merchandise.

Again, thanks to the industrious and talented Missy, Billy Greer now has his own web site!

To keep up-to-date on the latest with one of our favorite Kansas alumni, check out Missy's David Ragsdale page.

David Ragsdale's official home page is available now.

Missy's David Ragsdale fan site is excellent, of course.

The Yahoo KansasFans Club is now open for business. There are message boards, pictures, chat rooms, links, etc.

Even with the untimely death of the OLGA archive, her work lives on, accessible from some more enlightened countries. Check out Harmony Central's Guitar tab for the best place to look for tablature on the net, including a very small selection of Kansas tabs.

Doug Martens has some samples of his own performance of some Kansas tunes at his web site.

Jim Rye brings us the Kansas MIDI discography.

Finally, I offer you a link to Bill Hammell's excellent People of the South Hoax page. You just gotta see it to understand.

During his Kansas hiatus, Steve Walsh formed and fronted a band called Streets, which released two albums. Check out this Streets Web page.

Former Streets guitarist Mike Slamer was in a band called City Boy for a time after leaving Streets. His new band is called Steelhouse Lane (link has gone bad, and I know not where the new one is).

Steve McAtee's Kansas/Shooting Star Page.

Rick Duncan offers Rick's Kansas Page

Jay Pearson's Sparks of the Tempest page is our latest entry.

Ken Gerdes' new site, Rock N Roll Hell, has a Kansas entry.

Tim Roche's Kansas page (including a great original MIDI selection) has now moved to http://www.velocity.net/~trwebbs/kansas.html. Highly recommended if you're into MIDIs.

Matthias Ratzka (mailto:ratzka@studm.hrz.uni-siegen.de) has produced what may be the world's first German-language Kansas page.

Check out Thoughtscape Sounds, distributors of the Kerry's Odyssey Video and soundtrack, as well as several other Livgren/AD greats. Help support great indy labels that publish great artists!

Check out Renaissance Records, David Ragsdale's record label, but which now lists some of Kerry's stuff (but not David's). Confusing...

Ex-Kansas Guitar wonder Steve Morse has his own home page.

The Desperate Times is one of two Kansas fan magazines.

Kerry Livgren visits Prodigy is Diana Morris' Kerry Livgren web page.

Steve Smits' home page includes a ton of great information you're unlikely to find anywhere else.

An April 1996 article on Kerry Livgren

Mark Pennel's web pages

Mark has a bunch of neat original Kansas-related graphics, including the the Kansas screen saver (in the PC screen savers section, Windoze only).

Kerry Livgren page

Maintained by Guitar Ron (whose pages contain lots of other killer guitar stuff).

There is a cool search engine at AMG All Music Guide that has tons of info on Kansas albums (and about everything else there is). It's very slick and impressive; the only problem is, they don't seem to really like Kansas very much.
Speaking of guitarists, Steve Morse is now with Deep Purple

This page is also (incorrectly) listed in the Ultimate Band List. I know I've told these guys multiple times to please update the content, and they never do. What's there now is at least 3 years old (or more). *sigh*
