  Great Interview with Phil Ehart
Posted on Thursday, June 15 @ 16:51:06 CDT by rew

General News Classic Rock Revisited has a terrific interview with Phil Ehart online. It''''s a terrific interview, and for those of you (and there are many) who are still wondering, it sheds a great deal of light on the reasons and wherefors of both Robby''''s departure and David''''s return. Go read it!

Here''''s an excerpt:
[Robby] said that he had just lost the desire to do this anymore. I said, “Rob, that’s okay.” Robby said, “In the last couple of years, I have just not wanted to leave home and go do this.” ... Robby just wasn’t into it anymore.
If you''''ve ever been in a band, or a business, or any sort of partnership like this, you have probably been through something similar. As these things go, it really does sound like this was, while not easy, about as smooth as something like this could be.

Anyway, there''''s a ton of great info here, and it sure does sound like Phil is fairly energized about the future, which is great news. I believe that Phil has been, through the ups and downs, the glue that has kept Kansas (the viable business) running while Kansas (the band) has gone through all its variations. So I''''m glad to see that he seems upbeat.
